I’m an avid reader, a sometimes writer, and a nature lover (which you probably already guessed). I’m a dog person, though I’ve learned there’s no better feeling than being liked by a cat. I have hobbies coming out of my ears, and should anyone show the slightest interest in any of them, I will go out of my way to help them get started so I have someone to bond over crafts with.
I’m a graphic designer currently working at Lamar Advertising Agency, where I specialize in out of home advertising. My time there has taught me the value of impactful design coupled with constructive solutions. It can be hard to scale an idea from what you had in your head to what will be most effective in the required medium, but it can also be a valuable asset in that brainstorming a solution leads you to an even more inventive outcome. This line of thought has led me to many designs that I take pride in, and it’s a mentality I bring with me to every project.
While I specialize in branding, advertising, and illustration, through my many projects, both personal and professional, I’ve branched into many areas of design. This includes publication design, creative coding, and even virtual reality. And I’m always pushing myself to try new things, my most recent interest being to build my motion graphics and animation skills.
I love challenging myself, and being a designer, I always have opportunities to do just that. I’m able to grow my skill set and my expertise, and I am a better designer for it.
