The Bee Group produces a series of themed Special Sections that it inserts into all of its papers. For the ‘Business A to Z’ section, the focus was on showcasing the range of different businesses that exist locally in the area. Since we had such a wide range of businesses in this section, I thought the design should be more abstract in nature, focusing on the typography rather than any images. I thought it would be interesting to create a design that was reminiscent of screen printing onto textured paper. I felt like this connected to an old-school office atmosphere, but with a pop of color to draw the eye and create visual interest.

A stack of old books stands on a table. The title "Education and Learning," has been warped to appear as thought it's printed on the edges of the pages in the center of the stack. The bottom book has the type edited the same way and says, "January 18 & 19, 2023."
