The Bee Group produces a series of themed Special Sections that it inserts into all of its papers. For the ‘Keeping You Connected’ section, the focus was on showcasing local businesses to the readers. Since we had such a wide variety of shops being featured, I wanted to create a cover that encapsulated all of them. I decided to create bright abstract shapes flying out of a shopping bag to capture the unique energy of small businesses. I also decided to design a hand-lettered title to add to the personal appeal of the cover.
