This project challenged me to take an existing brand and packaging design, and reinvigorate it. I chose to work with the Marketside brand, a line of products under the company Walmart. Specifically, I chose to redesign the packaging for their muffins. The current packaging is just a plain plastic container, which is neither visually appealing nor sustainable. I wanted the packaging to convey a delicious product as well as a personal touch. I accomplished this by creating a color palette of deep browns and reds. These were intended to emphasize the richness of the flavor. I made it personal by using hand drawn illustrations, as well as a cardboard base so that it would feel homemade.
